Ripley Nukes The Planet From Orbit

I'm not sure why they would even bother with all the added production, but the airing of Planet Earth in America (on the Discovery Channel) will be re-narrated by Sigourney Weaver. The series was filmed entirely in HD, and is stunning. The narration, though, will be decidedly less so.

But take heart. This series is originally a BBC production, with original narration by the all-around cool guy David Attenborough. So I recommend skipping the Discovery Channel shlock-job, and instead heading straight to the original version (and if anyone knows how to get it, please follow up here).
