My husband is Greek and of Byzantine Catholic Rite. Before we married I had to commit to marry in his church and follow that rite. We also had to have six weeks of pre-nup sessions with the pastor of his church. At one session the pastor asked..."If you were making love and an angel appeared and said the world would end in 15 minutes...would you continue making love or stop?" My future husband quickly was the first to reply and said..."Oh, I would continue with the loving." They both turned and looked at me waiting for my answer. I said..."Well, I would have to stop because I would have to go and put on my lipstick." That was 27 years ago. I tell my kids when I kick the bucket they better make sure I have on lipstick, mascara and since I have no eyebrows-don't forget the eyebrow pencil!
