What would happen, goodness forbid, if they had updated 24 so that the current season was really an updated and worthy version of the original season? With relevance to current political issues (rather than with flimsy "Arab and Russian bad guys")? With a gritty and serious tone (which they desperately try to evince, and fail at, utterly)? With characters and situations that truly draw the viewer into the drama (rather than hoping against hope that trite and hackneyed melodrama will somehow save the day)? With characters that act as adults (rather than the headless chickens that cluck on, incessantly, about the "remaining suitcase nukes"... yawn...)?
Stef, Grey's Anatomy notwithstanding, has put us on to something which is more than worthy of taking over the mantle recently dropped by Mr. Bauer and Co. The BBC, once again, puts American media to shame. Thankfully.
Say hello to The State Within, and rejoice. The thriller is reborn.
What station? Hm. Good luck.
I believe the DVD is already available for this show, so that is one way to view it.
There are other places to find it, you'll have to look around. You can also get a copy from us if you have a few blank CDs.
before you drop cable, it's on BBC America
Cool. We'll check it out. What station is it on in this area? I am about to cancel cable (or go the very bare minimum) and get Netflix for entertainment. TV is so lame. No offense to Stef (and most of my family and friends would disagree with me) but "Grey's Anatomy" seems to be a big 'who slept with who' fest. Yuck.
